Is it possible to go on a tour and eat vegetarian food? I would like to visit North Korea but not sure if my diet would be accommodated. No meat, no fish, no eggs.
Eating vegetarian food in North Korea by: KTG® Tours
Hi there Jason!
Thanks for your message. There is a vegetarian and vegan option, but do not expect much variety.
Vegetarian dishes in the DPRK consist of a lot of fresh veggies, tofu, and, yes, eggs. Skipping the eggs will mean even less variety. We'd recommend you to bring some vegetarian snacks with you. It's also important that you remind our guides to check with the restaurant beforehand that they have prepared your vegetarian dishes as requested by us.
Do please let us know if you have any other questions Jason, and thanks again for having contacted us.
