Day 1: Arrival in Ashgabat

Late-night arrival in Ashgabat. After completing border formalities, transfer to your hotel for an early check-in and a chance to rest before the adventure begins.

Day 2: Exploring Ashgabat

After a leisurely breakfast, delve into the treasures of Ashgabat. Visit the ancient ruins of Nissa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that whispers tales of the Parthian Empire, and the National Museum, showcasing the rich history of Turkmenistan.

Evening Highlights: Experience Ashgabat in all its illuminated glory. Visit Independence Park, the iconic Neutrality Arch, the poignant Earthquake Memorial Complex, and the lavish Wedding Palace. Stroll through Makhtumkuli Park, absorbing the city's unique atmosphere.

Day 3: Ashgabat to Mary & Merv

Take an early morning flight to Mary and head to the UNESCO-listed Ancient City of Merv, an archaeological wonder once part of the Silk Road. Explore its iconic landmarks, including the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, and more.

Day 4: Mary to Ashgabat

Begin your day with a tour of Mary’s Orthodox Church, Juma Mosque, and the bustling Local Bazaar. Return to Ashgabat by road, stopping en route at the ruins of Seyit Jemaleddin Mosque.

In Ashgabat, visit the striking Ertogrul Ghazi Mosque, the serene Alley of Inspiration, and the vibrant Gulistan Bazaar.

Rest and relax at your hotel overnight.

Day 5: Ashgabat to Darwaza Gas Crater

After morning leisure, journey through the Karakum Desert to the Darwaza Gas Crater.

Along the way, stop at the Mud and Water Craters. Witness the mesmerising fiery glow of the crater at night, enjoying a BBQ dinner under the stars.

Spend the night in a yurt or tent, embracing the tranquillity of the desert.

Day 6: Darwaza, Ashgabat, night train to Turkmenbashi

After a hearty camp breakfast, return to Ashgabat and continue to the renowned Akhal-Teke Horse Stables for a chance to ride these legendary horses.

Board an evening train to Turkmenbashi, arriving early the next morning.

Day 7: Turkmenbashi & Yangikala Canyons

Drive to the the jaw-dropping Yangikala Canyons, known for their otherworldly beauty.

Visit Gozli Ata Pilgrimage Site and its tribal cemetery before driving to Kyzylarbat for an overnight stay.

Earth or Mars?

Day 8: Kyzylarbat to Nokhur, Kow-Ata, and Ashgabat

Journey to the remote Nokhur Village, a cultural gem featuring silk-weaving workshops, local tribal cemetery, the Kyz-Bibi Shrine, and the Old Chinar Tree.

Rates are based per person and based on the total number of travellers in your group and the hotel you stay at in Ashgabat.

Rates Include:

• Visa support (Letter of Invitation, State Registration, Travel Pass)
• Road transport in private air-conditioned vehicles, regular or SUV/4WD as per table
• Accommodation based on single or shared twin/double hotel room, including breakfast and early check-in
• Accommodation based on private tent or yurt (incl. sleeping mat, sleeping bag and pillow), including breakfast and BBQ dinner

• Domestic flight tickets (economy class)
