Day 1: BP Shawat – Kunya Urgench – Darvaza Gas Crater

Your journey begins at the BP Shawat border post, where you’ll meet your guide after completing migration formalities. From there, head to Kunya Urgench, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in history. Explore the Kunya Urgench Historical Park, home to awe-inspiring monuments such as the Kutlug Timur Minaret, Mausoleum of Turabek Khanum, and more.

After lunch, embark on a drive across the vast Karakum Desert to the legendary Darvaza Gas Crater.

Stay overnight in a comfortable yurt camp where the serenity of the desert ensures a memorable experience.

Day 2: Darvaza – Ashgabat

Wake to the tranquillity of the desert and enjoy a camp-style breakfast before departing for Ashgabat.

En route, visit the fascinating Mud and Water craters, hidden gems of the Karakum Desert.

Upon arrival in Ashgabat, embark on a half-day city tour showcasing the city’s unique blend of modernity and tradition. Highlights include the National Museum, the grand Independence Park, the iconic Neutrality Arch, and the impressive Wedding Palace.

Rates are per person based on the total number of travellers that your private group will have and the accommodation you pick for stay in Ashgabat.

Rates include the following:

• Visa support (Letter of Invitation, State Registration, Travel Pass)
• Road transport in private air-conditioned vehicles, regular or SUV/4WD (4x4 – Toyota Hilux, Toyota Sienna, Toyota Prado or similar)
• Accommodation based on private tent or yurt (3 pax) (including sleeping mat, sleeping bag, and pillow), including breakfast and BBQ dinner
