Meeting in Beijing before trip to North Korea by: Admin
Please note that this post was from 2010. For the past few years we have been meeting everyone in person in Beijing and hand the visas then (or issue them in your country of residence if you prefer) and go over any last minute questions anyone may have. We then head to Pyongyang the next day.
If you cannot make it to our pre-departure meeting the day before going to Pyongyang we can meet you at the airport on the day of departure. However, we strongly suggest you to be in Beijing no later than the day before to your arrival in Beijing so as to avoid missing your flight to Pyongyang.
You will receive a briefing via e-mail first and we will go over it when meeting in Beijing.
Best wishes,
The KTG Team

Collecting your DPRK visa by: KTG
Hi,
Yes, the group will meet in Beijing the day before departure to the DPRK. You will be given clear instructions on how and when to meet our Korean partners in Beijing. They will then hand you your visas (if delivered in Beijing your DPRK visa will be a separate document that will not be attached to your passport) and give you a briefing on travelling in the DPRK (we will also send you a briefing via email).
If you prefer, we can also have your visas issued in your country of residence if there is a DPRK embassy/consulate there so that you can collect it there.
Even if you have your visa before arriving in Beijing it is recommended that you attend the meeting so as to know the rest of the group and in order to be able to ask any questions you may have to the DPRK authorities.
If you would rather not go to meet the group it is also possible for you to have your visa delivered at your hotel, though there is a delivery service charge for this.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
