Leader Chairman Kim Jong Il succeeded President Kim Il Sung as leader of the DPRK (North Korea). The leaders of the DPRK are highly respected figures in Korea. Portraits, paintings and photos of the leaders Eternal President of DPRK Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are almost omnipresent around the DPRK.
Their works have been published in several languages and achievements as well as recognition are constantly mentioned in the DPRK media. Korean people highly respect their leaders and visitors should understand that the people of Korea should not, under any circumstance, be offended.
