Kim Il Sung 101st Birthday Tour 2013. The application deadline for this tour is March 22 2013. If interested in extending your tour please send us an e-mail stating how long you would like to extend for and if there are any specific places you would like to visit.

Day 1 - April 12 (Friday)

• Depart from Beijing at 12.00 flight JS 152 Terminal 2, Beijing Capital Airport
• Arrive in Pyongyang at 15.00 (Pyongyang time)

• Fountain Park
• Arch of Triumph
• Brief walk around the area, see the enormous pictures of the Leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il
• Hotel check-in
• Welcome Dinner: KITC Restaurant, Pyongyang

Overnight: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

Day 2 - April 13 (Saturday)

AM

• Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
• Drive to the port city of Nampo
• Chongsan Cooperative Farm - see how Koreans work and live in this model cooperative farm
• West Sea Barrage
• Mineral Water Factory

PM

• Lunch: Nampo
• Drive through city centre and drive back to Pyongyang
• DPRK Art Studio - see where diefferent forms of arts are produced in North Korea including propaganda posters and statues
• Film Studios - see where movies are filmed in the DPRK. If lucky you may see the filming of a movie taking place!
• Ride on Pyongyang Metro, the deepest in the world - extended ride with locals
• Dinner: Rungrado Restaurant

Day 3 - April 14 (Sunday)

AM

• Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
• Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery
• Kumsusan Memorial Palace (where the Leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il remain in state), the most sacred place in the DPRK

PM

• Lunch: City restaurant
• Drive south to Kaesong (2.5 hour drive)
• Koryo Museum
• Concrete Wall - built by the South and only visible from the North. See one of the world's most important nature reserves as hardly any humans have stepped on the land dividing the Korean peninsula since 1953.
• Tomb of King Wanggong
• Check-in Minsok Hotel (traditional Korean courtyard hotel)

Overnight: Minsok Hotel, Kaesong

Day 4 - April 15 (Monday) - National Holiday - President Kim Il Sung's 101st Birthday

AM

• Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
• Kumsusan Memorial Palace (where the Leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in state)
• Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery

PM

• Lunch: Pyongyang City Restaurant
• Moranbong Park (where locals picnic and gather on national holidays). Great chance to sing and dance with Koreans on this national holiday)
• Mangyongdae Native House - President Kim Il Sung's Birthplace
• Juche Tower - opportunity to go up the 150 metre tower (170 metres including the torch) that offers a panoramic view of Pyongyang
• Party Foundation Monuments
• Expected Mass dances - Hundreds of Koreans dancing. You will be able to join in! Other celebrations may be expected.
• Local funfair
• Optional activities include going to the Acrobatic Circus or seeing the Orchestra (entrance fee 10 to 20 Euros). These will be confirmed once in Pyongyang.
• Farewell Dinner: Duck BBQ, Pyongyang

Day 5 - April 16 (Tuesday)

AM

• Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
• Drive to Mount Myohyang
• International Friendship Exhibition Centre - exposing thousands of presents given to the leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and Comrade Kim Jong Suk (wife of President Kim Il Sung and mother of General Kim Jong Il)
• Pohyon Buddhist Temple

PM

• Lunch: Chongchon Hotel
• Drive back to Pyongyang
• D.P.R.K Film Studio - see where Korean movies are filmed. If lucky you may be able to see the fliming of a movie!
• Grand People's Study House - chance to see Koreans studying. You may have students who are keen to practice their language skills with you! Impressive views of Kim Il Sung Square at the top of the Grand People's Study House are breathtaking.
• Golden Lane Bowling Alley - see where locals enjoy their evenings and feel free to have a game!
• Farewell Dinner: City Restaurant
