American travel to DPRK

Hello,

I am an American looking to book a trip to North Korea next April in 2013. I would like to go to the Mass Games also. You have trips listed for up to 9 days but I have also read on your site that Americans are only allowed to stay for 4 nights. Is this accurate or can I book the longer trip? Also, when leaving to exit North Korea is it advisable to arrive extra early to the airport. I have read that they could go thru and view all photos taken.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for your message. It is ok for American citizens to stay more than 4 nights in North Korea now. The main restriction is that you cannot enter or exit by train.

Photos may be checked before you leave North Korea. You do not need to worry about when to arrive at the airport in Pyongyang as this is all arranged locally for you.
